- Define and manage delivery of measurable business benefits.
- Visibly drive forward programmes and projects with energy and enthusiasm.
Our programme managers build on a solid projects background, combining this with wider experience of managing the delivery of business benefits in the implementation of business and cultural change.
Our activities in programme management can be described in terms of the key stages of a major programme:
- Initiation – establishing the business case and sponsorship of a programme from the business and ensuring that the programme objectives are aligned with the organisation’s business strategy and objectives.
- Set-up – establishing programme policies, standards, targets, priorities, methods of interaction with "business as usual" processes to ensure efficient programme performance monitoring.
- Definition – the production and maintenance of overall programme plans and the selection, prioritisation and initiation of projects as components of those overall plans. Selection and initiation of component projects on the basis of: criticality to current business goals; clarity of project objectives and availability of required resources.
- Direction – progress monitoring of the portfolio of component projects, orchestration and co-ordination across the component of projects (dependency management), resource management, business benefit measurement and tracking, integration of programme deliverables with the business as a whole, and reporting and communications.
